I know that later this year Virgin Media are going to be rolling out a similar subscription-download service for their ISP customers so I may change to that seeing as they will probably use MP3's which iPods can read as oppose to the WMA's that Napster has.

This allows me to download as much music as I want whilst paying a fee that I can actually afford (I listen to a LOT of albums each month). I know I could just buy/download the songs from iTunes but I can't really afford to do that, hence the reason for me going with a monthly subscription model. I want to do it purely so I can play the songs I have downloaded from Napster on my iPod. Just to be clear, I don't want to remove the DRM for any commercial reasons such as burning the songs to a CD and then selling them. I think there are different laws for this depending on which country you're from, but from what I've read on the net it is legal to do this in Europe as long as you own the song (of course I may have got my facts wrong on this but I'm sure there's some loophole allowing you to do it and seeing as Soundtaxi etc has been going for a couple of years, I would imagine they would've got shut down if it was illegal by now). I have seen a couple of sites recommending Daniusoft's Media Converter (I see on their site they have lots of different versions which all seem to do the same thing) as this uses a different method for converting and may yield better results. Does anyone know of any better DRM-removal programs? I know that Tunebite now supports conversion to AAC format but I have read that both Soundtaxi and Tunebite use sound recording to convert the files. Anyway, I changed the setting for it to convert one track at a time but this is taking absolutely ages when I do a whole batch of albums. I have been using Soundtaxi for this but have noticed that it tends to convert up to 8 files at once and uses nearly a 100% of my CPU (I have an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ 2.64GHz with 2Gb of DDR2 ram).
